Ok, I'll say it. Anyone else notice how "Choaded Up" the Head of that Phillips screw was, for the Positive terminal demonstration? No idea why they'd make that a Phillips instead of an Allen. Yes, It goes by fast, so you gotta be quick to pause it.

Now that im seeing this (again, somehow), I have to wonder how "risky" it could be to have that "Positive" lug hanging off the side as shown in 1 of the options. (as convenient as some of the terminal options are)..🤔 Of course, maybe Im the only one who's had batteries held down by Bungees/straps/string/old condoms/tape/bandaids/etc.. 🤫

I'm currently upgrading my factory subwoofer it's a single 10" dual coil sub, what would the reason be that they did this from factory? Also if I replaced it with a single coil could I just wire two out of the 4 wires to the sub and be OK? Thanks

@caraudiofabrication is it possible to keep the OEM radio installed and add a secondary aftermarket radio and tap it's front and rear wires to the OEM speaker lines? I want to put the aftermarket deck hidden in back, it is controlled by blue tooth. Would having it wired that way cause and issues?

Make sure to look into your cars factory amplification. Many cars actually have pre amp outputs from the stock head unit that can be tapped into, eliminating the need for a LOC. This is what I did with my car and it works like a charm. Look for pinouts for wiring harnesses online

Just traded my car in for something that has a factory center speaker location. I've figured out how I want to handle the rear satellite 3.5" speakers but adding the center speaker to my 5 channel amp is posing the most concerns. What options can I explore for adding the center channel? I've seen summing my front left and right as an option but I don't how the watts are distributed or if I'll see a different in impedance. JL RD900/5 amp for reference and all aftermarket speakers (50w rms speakers, running 2 per channel for the rear for a 2ohm load, I'd like 2ohm for the front to optimize rms load). I've also considered two speakers for the center but spacing obviously becomes my next issue.

Odd, that you need a LOC to make the 'hi signal' lower, but then there's a device to make the 'Low Input' higher..🤔

I think the best is to have a mix on each face. You can also use this to create an overlap lip for protection and can give a nice look.

So if building a false floor over a sub enclosure, there's no need to port or put a cutout over the woofer??

Do crossovers apply when youre using a 3 way car speaker? I wont be running a sub so dont wanna limit too much bass from the system, but also dont wanna hurt the small drivers in the speakers
